This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information in Fable Forge, an AI‑powered interactive fiction and multiplayer game creation app.

Jurisdiction: We are based in Australia and aim to comply with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
This policy covers the Android app only (no website).
1. Information we collect
We collect only what we need to operate Fable Forge. We do not collect device identifiers, IP addresses, advertising IDs, analytics, crash logs, location, or sensor data.
- Account and identifiers
- Firebase Authentication: your email address is processed by Google Firebase Authentication to create and manage your account. We do not store your email in our own database.
- Our database: Firebase UID, username, and account creation date.
- User content
- Interactive fiction content you create (games, story assets) and in‑game chats.
- Visibility: content you publish is publicly viewable by anyone in the app. Unpublished content is visible only to you and invited participants.
- Communications
- We do not send push notifications. We may send essential account emails via Firebase Authentication (e.g., verification, password reset).
We do not collect payment information and do not offer in‑app purchases.
2. How we use information
- Provide and operate the app (account creation, sign‑in, multiplayer, publish/view games).
- Process your prompts and game content to generate AI responses, images, and audio.
- Maintain the security and integrity of the service (access controls, abuse prevention).
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
We do not use your information for targeted advertising or cross‑context behavioral advertising.
4. AI model providers and content processing
When you interact with Fable Forge, your prompts, in‑game chats, and relevant game context may be sent to the following providers to generate text, images, and audio:

Important notes:
- These providers may process your data on servers outside Australia (e.g., the United States or other regions).
- We use standard API services for inference. Retention, training, and logging practices are governed by each provider’s terms and policies linked above.
- Please avoid inputting sensitive personal information into prompts or game content.
5. Storage, security, and international transfers
- Storage locations
- Authentication data is stored by Google Firebase Authentication (typically in Google’s cloud infrastructure, which may be located in the United States or other regions).
- Game data is stored by us on a secured, encrypted system located in Queensland, Australia.
- Security measures
- Encryption in transit (TLS) and encryption at rest.
- Access controls and least‑privilege access.
- Regular updates/patching and monitoring.
- Incident response procedures.
- International transfers
- Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries outside Australia by our service providers. By using the app, you understand that your data may be processed in those jurisdictions under their local laws.
6. Data retention and deletion
- We retain your account and content while your account is active.
- When you delete your account using the in‑app controls, we permanently delete your personal data and content from our systems without delay. We do not keep backups.
- Third‑party providers (e.g., AI APIs) may retain logs for a limited time as described in their policies.
- Published content: if others have viewed, copied, or shared your previously published content, we cannot remove those independent copies.

7. Your rights and choices
- Access, correction, deletion: You can delete your account in‑app. For other requests (e.g., access or correction), email thatmewh@gmail.com.
- Data export: We do not currently offer a self‑service data export feature. You may email us to request an export, and we will respond case‑by‑case.
- Identity verification: We verify requests via your signed‑in Firebase account or by email verification using Firebase Authentication.
- Response time: We aim to respond to privacy requests within 30 days.
- Marketing: We do not send marketing communications or push notifications.
For Australian residents, you may also lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC): oaic.gov.au/privacy/privacy-complaints. We appreciate the chance to resolve issues directly first.
8. Children
Fable Forge is intended for users aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post updates in‑app with the “Effective” date above. For material changes, we may also provide an in‑app notice.
